Wes McCurry – Owner & Founder

With 30 years of experience in the rental industry, Wes has been a driving force in providing top-tier rental solutions across North Alabama. In 2017, he recognized a need for reliable car and van rentals in the region and took action—launching what is now McCurry Van & Car Rental.

Thanks to Wes’s leadership and vision, the company has grown rapidly. As of 2024, McCurry Van & Car Rental operates six locations across Athens, Cullman, Muscle Shoals, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, and Murfreesboro, TN. His dedication to exceptional service and community-focused business practices has made McCurry a trusted name in the industry.

Freddie D. Moore Jr. – Branch Manager

Freddie D. Moore Jr. is the Location Manager at McCurry Van and Car Rental, bringing seven years of experience in the auto industry and a passion for exceptional customer service. For the past year, he has led the McCurry team with dedication, ensuring smooth operations and a top-notch rental experience for every customer.

Originally from Gallion, Alabama, Freddie graduated from Demopolis High School in 2011 before continuing his education at the University of West Alabama, where he earned a Level 1 Certificate in Industrial Maintenance. He later completed his Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology at DeVry University and plans to further his expertise with a degree in Cybersecurity.

Freddie has proudly called the Tuscaloosa area home for over a decade, where he lives with his wonderful wife. His commitment to leadership and customer satisfaction makes him an invaluable part of the McCurry team.

Farrah – Rental Coordinator

Farrah is a dedicated Rental Coordinator at McCurry Van and Car Rental, assisting customers with their rental needs, handling reservations, answering calls, and ensuring a smooth rental experience. Her strong communication skills and attention to detail make her invaluable to our team.

A graduate of James Clemens High School, Farrah earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in Sports Media and a Master’s degree in Philosophical Studies from The University of Alabama. Fun fact—she once interned for Head Coach Nick Saban!

Outside of work, Farrah stays busy as the head coach of the Crimson Belles Dance Team at UA and currently holds the title of Miss Black Alabama 2025. She has a passion for travel, trying new foods, and engaging in the fine arts—whether painting, dancing, or playing the piano.

With her diverse background and exceptional customer service skills, Farrah is here to make your rental experience smooth and stress-free!

Haley Duncan is a dedicated Rental Coordinator at McCurry Van & Car Rental, bringing six months of experience and a strong background in customer service. She is committed to ensuring every customer has a smooth and hassle-free rental experience.

A graduate of Enterprise High School, Haley earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology from The University of Alabama. Raised in a family of automotive mechanics, she has a deep understanding of the industry. She is also married to a diesel mechanic, and together, they have two children.

Having lived in Tuscaloosa for five years, Haley combines her expertise in customer service with her automotive knowledge, making her an invaluable part of our team. Whether assisting with reservations or helping customers find the perfect rental, Haley is here to provide top-notch service!

Mariah Maples – Rental Coordinator

Mariah is a dedicated Rental Coordinator at McCurry Van & Car Rental’s Tuscaloosa location, bringing a strong background in customer service and a passion for helping others. She plays a key role in managing rental transactions, answering calls, assisting customers with vehicle selection, and ensuring all rentals meet our high standards of service.

A graduate of Madison County High School, Mariah continued her education at Wallace State Community College and Freed-Hardeman University, where she played collegiate volleyball and studied Early Childhood Education. Her leadership skills also extend to coaching—she previously coached high school volleyball at James Clemens High School, showcasing her ability to mentor and lead.

Outside of work, Mariah loves spending time with her child and balancing both her personal and professional life. Though new to the auto industry, her dedication to customer satisfaction and exceptional service make her a valued part of the McCurry team.

Lilly is a valued member of the McCurry Van and Car Rental team, bringing two years of experience in various roles before stepping into her current position as a Rental Coordinator. She assists customers with their rental needs, manages reservations, and helps ensure a seamless rental experience.

A graduate of Athens High School, Lilly is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Consumer Sciences at The University of Alabama. Her dedication to learning and customer service makes her an asset to our team.

In her free time, Lilly loves spending quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking and baking whenever she gets the chance!

Meet Carrie Hudson – Area Manager at McCurry Van & Car Rental

Carrie has been a valued member of McCurry Van & Car Rental since 2021. Originally from Greenville, AL, Carrie has called Athens home for over 30 years. A graduate of Clements High School, she brings a strong work ethic and dedication to her role.

As our Area Manager, Carrie oversees operations and ensures exceptional service at our Muscle Shoals, Cullman, and Tuscaloosa locations. Her extensive knowledge of vehicle inventory, pricing, and availability makes her an invaluable resource for our customers.

In addition to her professional expertise, Carrie enjoys spending her free time with her children and riding horses. Her friendly demeanor and commitment to customer satisfaction have made her a favorite among our clients.

With more than 15 years of experience in sales and a deep-rooted knowledge of the auto industry, he plays a key role in driving growth and ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction.

As our Outside Sales Specialist, Gary is often on the road across North Alabama, assisting businesses with their rental needs and promoting McCurry Van & Car Rental within the community. His expertise in business-to-business leasing and vendor partnerships allows him to provide customized solutions that help companies operate smoothly and efficiently.

Outside of work, Gary enjoys coaching, cheering on Alabama football, and spending quality time with his wife and three children.
